Six teams set out from Maidenhead Thicket on a cold, but thankfully, dry night. The site was a small wooded area on a footpath near the village of Fulmer. The first torch appeared at around 2025 and the owner of the torch, Peter Lisle, managed to find me just before the 2030 transmission. All went quiet for about 20 minutes and then Steve Stone, Mark Coventry and Graham Phillips turned up almost together. After 2100, I left the transmitter running and eventually Brian appeared and started searching the wrong area! Eventually he found me and clocked in. Alan had decided to give up and go to the pub so I was able to shut the station early and retreat to the pub which was The Black Horse in Fulmer.
