Justin O was hiding on the edge of the wood above a narrow road near Bledlow Ridge, with little or no parking. A steep path rose from the road to the wood and Justin was located about 100m west of the stile behind a makeshift barrier.
Near 100m antenna spread in the trees, parallel to the fence with an earth connected to the fence and a ground stake.
Geoffrey and Peter were on site around the same time and in a frantic torchlit dash, Geoffrey just pipped Peter to the post. Two teams did not find the station.
Fortunately, we all made it to the pub. Or most of us, as Alan needed to get going early!
Apologies for some difficulty with the set not communicating audio at all, with the morse failing at the 20:15 transmission. The morse recovered and was the prime transmission to bring the competitors in.
